After 1,084 homes were lost to the Marshall Fire, friends, family, and familiar faces were dispersed across Boulder County. An overwhelming sense of sadness fell upon the community. While nothing can replace photos and memories, I was tasked with inspiring hope during the rebuilding process. The cheerful yard signs I had designed quickly appeared in everyone's yard throughout Mulberry Street and across Louisville. The signs were later featured in Louisville's “Signs of the Times” exhibit alongside other historical artifacts that helped shape the mining town's history.
